Writing Sample – How-To Guide

This is a sample how-to guide explaining how to make a cup of coffee using the Aeropress coffee maker.

Learn how to make a great cup of coffee in just a few seconds.

Here goes:

1. Put water in the kettle and switch on
2. Whilst the kettle is boiling:
   1. Put the filter in the filter cap, and attach to your Aeropress chamber
   2. Put the chamber over your cup
   3. Put a scoop of coffee into the chamber
3. When the kettle has boiled, leave for a few seconds then pour the correct level of water into the chamber (depends on your recipe)
4. Stir for approximately 10 seconds using the supplied stirrer
5. Wet the rubber end of the plunger, place in the chamber, and carefully press down, for 10-20 seconds until the plunger is almost at the bottom of the chamber
6. Remove the Aeropress from your cup, remove the plunger from the chamber, and empty the coffee grounds from the chamber
7. Rinse your Aeropress ready for next time
8. Add milk or more water to your cup as required
9. Enjoy your coffee

Honestly, once you’ve done it a couple of times, it’ll be quicker to make a single cup of excellent coffee, than to follow these instructions.
